🌹 Layers of Self: A Collage Workshop with Asia Armour
Join Cleveland-based artist Asia Armour for Layers of Self, a hands-on collage workshop at Norwest Gallery of Art in Detroit. Inspired by the Bare My Soul exhibition, this creative gathering invites you to explore your inner world through guided writing, paper collage, and storytelling.
During this intimate evening, participants will reflect on the many layers that make us who we are our memories, emotions, and experiences, and translate them into a personal work of art. Through journaling prompts and collage-making, you’ll uncover stories hidden beneath the surface and honor the beauty of your becoming.
No experience is necessary. All materials are provided, along with light bites and refreshing mocktails. You’re also welcome to bring personal photos or imagery that feel meaningful to your story.
Come as you are, and leave with a collage that reflects your truth, your tenderness, and your transformation.
