Cloudy with a Chance of Cleveland: A Celebration of Urban Legacy
In 2024, I created "Cloudy with a Chance of Cleveland," a mixed-media collage that captures the vibrant energy and architectural charm of Cleveland’s iconic skyline. This piece was born out of my love for blending nature with urban narratives, featuring a mosaic of forget-me-not flowers interwoven with the cityscape. The artwork not only celebrates Cleveland's rich history but also reflects its continued growth and resilience.
I was honored to have this piece published in The Heart of Cleveland 2, a beautifully curated book showcasing Cleveland's artistic heartbeat, written and compiled by Scott Kraynak. The Heart of Cleveland 2 highlights the creativity and passion of local artists, and I am thrilled that my work was included in this collection.
The journey didn’t end with the book; Cloudy with a Chance of Cleveland shown at Hedge Gallery during the exhibition celebrating the book’s launch. Seeing my artwork displayed alongside the incredible talents of Cleveland’s artistic community was a powerful moment—one that affirmed my connection to the city and its people.
This piece serves as both a tribute to Cleveland and a reflection of my artistic vision: merging urban landscapes with elements of nature to tell stories that resonate deeply. I am grateful for the opportunity to share my work in meaningful ways and to contribute to Cleveland’s ever-evolving cultural tapestry.
You can find the book here to explore more about The Heart of Cleveland 2.
I look forward to continuing to share Cleveland’s stories through art, celebrating the city’s spirit and the beauty it holds.
