AURORA ThE DAWN

As an artist, I draw inspiration from mythology, nature, and the intricacies of human emotion to create vivid, layered narratives. My work channels the essence of Aurora, the Goddess of Dawn, to explore themes of transformation, renewal, and light. Through mixed-media collages, I weave together elements of flora, vibrant textures, and symbolic imagery to tell stories of growth, resilience, and beauty.

Flowers play a central role in my art, symbolizing life, memory, and legacy. They serve as both my canvas and my muse, allowing me to craft pieces that bloom with layers of meaning. Whether it’s the first light of dawn breaking over a cityscape or the delicate petals of a flower merging with bold patterns, my art is a celebration of the balance between strength and fragility.

At its core, my work is a tribute to the transformative power of creativity. By merging cultural symbolism, personal narratives, and natural elements, I aim to inspire connection, reflection, and a renewed sense of wonder in my audience. Through my pieces, I hope to illuminate the strength and grace that lies within all of us, much like the dawn illuminates the world anew each day.

One of my most meaningful accomplishments is having my piece inspired by Aurora selected for inclusion in the University Hospitals collection in Cleveland, Ohio. This collection celebrates the work of local Black artists and is displayed at the UH Wellness Centers, where art is used to promote healing and connection.
